Calling 911 Can Make This Android Phone Reboot

Smartphone maker OnePlus first made a name for itself in 2014 with the OnePlus One, a cheap, high-quality handset that was available by invite only. In the three years since, it's moved all the way on to the OnePlus 5 which appears to be boasting an unusual and unsettling feature: it reboots if you try to call 911.
This strange and concerning bug was first discovered by one Nick Morrelli, who posted about an experience he had on Reddit. While trying to report a fire nearby, he had attempted to call 911 twice, and his phone rebooted both times. He was able to replicate the bug for a video he posted to Facebook:
